On September 8 thousands of San Diegans will act in solidarity with people around the world to demand immediate action on climate change.

Join us as we march alongside workers, students, human rights activists, frontline, Indigenous, and faith communities at the Rise For Climate March San Diego. We intend to send a powerful message to our leaders: today we are standing at a #ClimateCrossroads. The Trump administration and the fossil fuel industry gravely threaten the future of our planet, the safety of our communities, and the health of our families. We cannot wait to #RiseForClimate and demand the #FossilFree world we need.

On September 8, just before the Global Climate Action Summit brings leaders from around the world to San Francisco to discuss climate solutions, the people will come together to march outside the summit, and in hundreds of locations around the world.

Together we will march to protect our air, water, and land. We will march for our communities, for clean energy jobs, and for the people we love. We will commit to voting for climate champions. In solidarity with all those who are oppressed in our society, we will demand #ClimateJustice.

The Rise For Climate March San Diego will gather at City Hall, 202 C Street, San Diego, CA 92101, on Civic Center Plaza at 10 AM for live music, inspiring speeches, and participatory actions followed by a short march to South Embarcadero Park where we’ll have voter registration, activities, and a Kid’s Zone with games and face-painting.
